Meet The Founder

In 2009, at just 25 years old, I launched my first startup: Signal Interactive Podcasting. With a background in talk radio, a summer of business management studies at Stanford University, and experience building and running a national conference for podcasters, I thought I had all the ingredients for success. I invested $25,000 of my own money, raised another $100,000, and dove headfirst into entrepreneurship.

But there was something I didn’t have—an experienced mentor who could dive deeply into my business, ask the hard questions, and steer me away from distractions toward the growth-driving activities that truly mattered. Without that guidance, I found myself chasing features I loved instead of focusing on what would move the needle for my company.

Signal ultimately failed as a business. But it succeeded in sparking a lifelong entrepreneurial journey that has since included four companies and one successful exit. Each step of the way, I’ve learned the transformative power of clarity, strategy, and focused execution.

Through Inaltum, I’ve turned those lessons into action. My mission is to be the resource I needed back in 2009—to partner with entrepreneurs, ask the hard questions, uncover hidden opportunities, and provide the strategic guidance that helps them achieve clarity, build momentum, and drive sustainable growth. . What is the most common problem you've seen?

Lack of an identity.
Too often entrepreneurs build a business by chasing immediate opportunities. This can work as you gain initial traction, but there comes a point where you need to identify your ideal customer, understand why they choose you, and build a business identity around that. The alternative is you continue to chase leads and remain largely undefined and undifferentiated in the eyes of the broader market.

. Why is my marketing not working for me?

Typical reasons why marketing spend is largely ineffective include:
1: What you're saying and how you're saying it isn't connecting with your target customer.
2: You're not guiding prospects down a clear decision path.
3: You're confusing marketing with sales. Marketing attracts but sales closes.

. Why is execution more valuable than ideation?

Execution is the application of ideas to reality. Whatever you may have reason to believe is true, you will find out for certain in your attempt. Sometimes your destination is correct but your initial path is wrong. Sometimes your path is correct but your final destination changes. Sometimes, both are wrong. The only way to know for certain is to make an attempt and learn from the experience.

. What are Inaltum's rates?

Pricing varies based on services needed, but broadly our services range from $750 for a one-time offering and more than $10,000 per month for our premium services. In order to best serve our clients, we limit our total number of premium clients. Therefore we are highly selective as to whom we offer these services. Premium service offerings are based on a few criteria including an urgent need in the business, philosophical alignment especially with respect to ethics, and the potential of the business to make a meaningful impact in the world.

. How do I know if I'm not a good fit?

Here are some indicators that Inaltum isn't a good fit for your business:
1: You're profitable but unwilling or unable to spend money to grow your business.
2: You're looking for a silver bullet, a push-button solution that will solve your problems for you.
3: You're looking for labor, but not learning, growing, or optimizing.
4: You're operating in a highly corporate environment and do not expect that to change.
5: Fearing you'll miss out on an opportunity, you're not wanting solutions that require highly-focused effort.
